Taekwondo (also spelled Tae Kwon Do or Taekwon-Do) is the most popular of the Korean martial arts and is the Korean national sport. It is also one of the world’s most commonly practiced martial arts.
Taekwondo is loosely translated as "the art of kicking and punching" or "the way of the foot and the fist."
Taekwondo’s popularity has resulted in the divergent evolution of the art. As with many other martial arts, Taekwondo is a combination of combat technique, self-defense, sport, exercise, entertainment, and philosophy.
Tots Classes
Our children’s classes are for ages 6-10.
Classes are available 3 days per week.
The goal of our Children’s Program is to
develop the following:
- courtesy to others (proper manners)
- self discipline
- respect for others
- self respect
- coordination and strength
- physical fitness
- leadership abilities
- self defense
- setting and achieving goals
- concentration skills
- stranger danger
- when to call 911
- how to deal with bullies
Adult Classes
Our adult classes are for ages 11 and up.
The adult curriculum includes traditional Taekwondo and Hapkido.
Classes are available 4 days/week
